Every detail there was very good. Updated room, it had exceptionally comfortable bed. The location was magnificent and the staff was accommodating during the whole stay! I ate at a good restaurant with amazing food.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Shaftesbury Hotel Dundee. the staff were unobtrusive and the breakfast was great. - the double room we were surprised with was lovely. - the bathroom was beautiful, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. - the hotel's setting was marvelous and convenient for exploring Dundee and nearby areas.

The friendliness of the owners/staff. The location worked for the purposes of our stay. There was always street parking available close to the front door. Overall, the homely, friendly feel of the hotel.
A restaurant on site would have been a plus - the options with walking distance of the hotel were slim. Also we would have welcomed brighter reading lights in the bedrooms.

Stayed in a lovely room on the third floor (no lift) breakfast was of a very good standard and hostess was very friendly and charming. City is a ten minute walk away but lots of bars and restaurants nearby (within 5 minutes). Nice quiet area with on street parking. Would stay there again if in the area.

The staff was polite, welcoming, and responded promptly to requests. Our accommodation was set in a central location close to green circular cycle route, perfect for cyclists. - Close to local shops, bars, and restaurants on Perth Road.
